Let’s talk about Reperceiving.
I just read this amazing scientific paper and I’ll tag them in the in the notes.
What we want to do when we’re becoming more mindful is move from the concept of subject to object or subjective to objective.
So instead of things being about us and a narcissistic tendency, we move into objective meaning. We are not our thoughts.
We are not our outcomes.
We are not our partner’s outcomes.
We are not our relational outcomes.
We are not our family’s outcomes.
We don’t attach to outcomes, and we don’t attach to things that are subjective.
We can objectively view, view the world from the outside so that we aren’t attached to these things, because when we lose those things, we lose parts of ourselves.
If we’re truly objective and we look at things and know that they’re not possessing us we can let them go, and we are truly becoming more mindful.
